You feel me tho!?!?!? My attention instantly turned to him when he approached one of the YLOs, and to my surprise, He asked “wassup wit this gay circle?” I was not filled with anger or anything, but at that moment, I wish I was on that side of the circle instead so I could challenge him intellectually. I was shocked and looked around for other’s to react, but it didn’t seem much people heard and I’m glad they didn’t hear it. If I was on that side though….maaannn…Fuck that dude.
One challenge being my age, still very young, and working with youth is, when shit gets down, I have to look out for the safety of the youth first. However, at the same time, I’m thinking in my head “I’m finna mobb this dude” but the safety of youth is first.
But if it was on the streets, I would’ve said some, and if it was to go “that far” then shit, it’s finna go down. Fuck you white muthafucka. Who the fuck you think you was?! Laughin and shit, Punk ass.

Heh, turns out his dad is a retired judge AND has 3 closed cases with no charges. No wonder he ain’t been arrested. The storms coming for justice. It’ll be an interesting case to follow, I wonder what the conclusion will be….probation? Community service? A few months in jail?

I’ve read all the dirt on trayvon as well, but when there’s a case with a dead person of color and a white man or the popo, of course it’s going to be a storm.
Now, there might not be a storm when it’s black on black or brown on brown violence, but does the media really cover those stories? No, but does that mean people is just going to sit there and allow it? No.
Why do we stand up way more against oppression from the white man or authority figures? Look at history. Enough said. Times may have changed or be different now, but that doesn’t mean shit that happened back then, ain’t happening now. It still is happening,
We won’t stand by and allow our oppressors to continue their oppression over us as they’ve been doing since way back. That is one thing people, gangsters, drug dealers, community members, people of color, etc will not allow to happen. That is one thing, we will stand up against and fight back. The police, the white man, and the government won’t get over us so easily. Of course the
Police is only doing their jobs, but who are they protecting?
Now, violence within our own community is very challenging. We have to get down and get into our hoods to solve this problem, and it ain’t easy when folks are divided because of colors, gangs, and turf. Though it is a common issue, it is hard to reach out to everyone. But we try.
It’s easy to blame people, but who’s really the victims and who’s really the perpetrators? Why are these “perpetrators” and “trouble makers” in the position they’re at in the first place? Is It their fault for living by what they’ve known all their life? Is it their fault for not having the resources they need? Is it their fault they were abused or grew up in a broken home without a father?
People will agree, others will not. But in the end, locking everyone up means more money on jails, less for school. Now, of course there are people who are outright violent and fucked up in the head and may never be able to return to society, but that doesnt mean every person of color you see saggin or every personn that fucked up in life is a bad person.
I’m not saying all popo or white folks are evil, but let’s face it, white supremacy is alive and well and popo still ain’t friendly with our communities. Yu may not see it, but the tens of thousands of people that stand up everyday and protest aren’t all cry babies, aren’t all lazy folks, aren’t all trouble makers. If there wasn’t a problem, there wouldn’t be a need to fight back.

Heh, we had a huge mobalization to protest Hyatt last year about worker rights.Love how all those “job creators” will hastily fire any employee who dares to protest unfair, unsafe or illegal working conditions.
Morena Hernandez was suspended for “following an improper cleaning procedure” at her job as a Hyatt hotel housekeeping staff member; in a totally unrelated incident, she had been protesting how her employer Photoshopped two other women’s heads onto bikini-clad bodies for “Housekeeping Appreciation Week”. Oh, those two women were also coincidentally fired for “break time violations” when they got angry about their photos being used without their permission.
But please, Paulbots, continue to tell me how the “invisible hand” of the free market will right this injustice. Tell me how laws and regulations to protect the poor and marginalized are actually hurting them. Please.

Crazy how these brands got folks using up so much money to look fly. I’d just hit up kohls to look just as good for way less.
